Brainerd Area Lakes Still Cold

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl says the water is still cold in Brainerd area lakes. He tells KLKS, it wasn't that long ago when it was just 51 degrees, and it will take a lot of warm sunny days to warm it. He says water enthusiasts will experience some shock if they just plunge in now. The sheriff suggests, "Those who find themselves in the water are not going to last long." He says it is important boaters wear life jackets to improve their chances.
