Brainerd Storm Aftermath

Lots of trees were downed and electricity out from a Friday Evening storm that ripped through the Brainerd Lakes Area. Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl told KLKS news that the sirens were sounded in the Deerwood, Crosby and Garrison areas when a tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service. However, most of the damage was reported in the North Long and Round Lakes areas near Nisswa, apparently from straight line winds. There were so many trees down, that a road had to be closed to remove them. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
