BIR High School Challenge

Fast Cop Inc. and Brainerd International Raceway's 5th annual High School Challenge, last Wednesday, was a big success. The event brought in more Street Racers and spectators than previous High School Challenges. Street Racers Competed for over $4,500 of prizes. The purpose of the program is to save the lives of our motoring youth by putting the aggressive driving on the track, and not on the streets.
The winners of the High School Challenge and Reaction Time were: 1st place Andy Knebel, 2nd place Katlin Krause, both of Pillager High School. 3rd place went to Eric Sather of McGregor High School. The Open class was for those not involved in the Fast Cop High School Challenge. The Open Class winners were: 1st place, Rodney Launers of Burtrum, MN; 2nd place, Todd Hendrickson of Milaca;, 3rd place, James Hayck of Coon Rapids. The Open Class Reaction Time winners were: 1st place, Daniel Krousey of St. Cloud, and 2nd place went to Michael Johnson of Maple Grove.
The event had been rescheduled from a June 4th rain-out.
