Burning Restrictions Around the Brainerd Lakes

Open burning restrictions are in place around the Brainerd Lakes Area, according to DNR Public Information Officer Jean Goad. She tells KLKS News, we are down about six inches of rain in Grand Rapids, and Brainerd that has caused drought conditions. Ms. Goad says that while restrictions require permits for open burning, campfires in designated areas and fire rings are still OK.
