Lawn Signs Can Pose a Hazard

It's the election season, which means the landscape is becoming populated with lawn signs. Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl tells KLKS News, it's illegal to place them in the right of way. He says it's not only political signs that cause a problem, but also garage sales signs and the like. The Sheriff says it becomes a safety hazard because of the potential obstruction. Sheriff Dahl says folks with complaints should ask the candidates to remove their signs if they are illegally placed. If that proves fruitless, a call should be place to local authorities. Citizens should not remove the signs on their own.
