Crow Wing County Flu Shots

This year's flu shot is designed to protect against three strains that have been found in the southern part of the world, during their winter months. Joyce Mueller, Public Nurse Manager for the Crow Wing County Health Department, says the inoculations should help even if the the strain evolves into something different. She does not believe it's a strong one, but won't know until it actually hits the community. Nurse Mueller says both the shot and mist are equally effective. Walk-in clinics are being held around the area, as well as at the Crow Wing County Health Department weekdays during November from 3 to 4 p.m., except holidays.
