Crow Wing County Subject to Scam Artists

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl says, it is the season for scams. He tells KLKS News, scammers are preying particularly on the elderly during this traditional time of giving. He says the scams range from free prize offers, getting relatives out of jail in another state to vacation packages.
Sheriff Dahl says when dealing with a charitable offer, make sure it is a name you recognize, such as the local Lions, Kiwanis or Sertoma club.
