Patriots Finish Third at State CC Meet

Pequot Lakes Senior Clayton Foster has finished the 2008 Cross Country season as the top runner in the team competition at the state meet in Northfield. Foster paced the class A competition, on an idyllic Saturday, with a time of 16:14.5, edging out second place by a mere second. The Patriots, as a team, finished third overall tallying 132 , a single point in front of fourth place Plainview, Elgin, Millville. The other Patriots harriers were: Sylas Lydeen, 14th; Jacob Headlee, 27th; Jonas Dale, 44th; Kellen Braren, 46th; Adison Runberg, 73; Jake Braam, 95th.

The Patriots have had a long tradition of great cross country teams. It's great to see they've built on that tradition. Great job Patriots! And a state champion, too! Very impressive. This Patriot cross country team is probably the best team the Patriots have ever had in any sport.
