Wood Burners Causing Fires Around Brainerd

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl says there have been too many house fires recently. He tells KLKS News, the increase is due to homeowners "sparking-up" their wood burners and fireplaces. Sheriff Dahl says it is important to be proactive in checking the build-up of creosote in the chimney and replacing batteries in the smoke detectors.
