Ward Says the DFL Will Have A Plan to Balance the Budget

DFL-ers in the legislature have been criticised for not having a plan yet to fix the budget deficit facing the state. Hearings will be held Friday in Brainerd, Little Falls and Bemidji on the Governor's plan to balance the budget while facing a $4.8 billion revenue shortfall. State Representative John Ward tells KLKS News, he expects the March revenue forecast to show the deficit has grown another $2 billion. He says that will make the Governor's plan null and void, and that would be the proper time for the legislature to re-do it.
