Beetles Nip the Lunkers

With men on second and third, a walk-off single into right field by pinch-hitter Trevor Edwards gave the Alexandria Beetles the victory in Game Two, 5-4 over the Brainerd Lunkers of the Northwoods League.

The Lunkers scored one in the first and two in the second to give starter Brian Garman the early lead, but a three-run homer by Alexandria tied things up in the fourth.

The Lunkers face the Green Bay Bullfrogs tonight at Mills Field in Brainerd. First pitch is 7:05 PM and it's Summertime St. Patty's Night at the park.
