Border Cats Get the Best of the Lunkers

The Thunder Bay Border Cats, who trailed 4-2 after seven innings, brought nine men to the plate, utilized multiple suicide squeeze bunts, and scored five runs in the eighth to take the victory over the Lunkers, 7-5 at Mills Field.

The Lunkers drop to 16-19 on the year and 0-2 in the second half. They return to Mills Field tonight to host the Eau Claire Express. First pitch is 7:05 PM and the first 300 fans 14 and under receive a Lunkers replica jersey/t-shirt as part of Good Samaritan Bowl Night.
