More H1N1 Vaccine Arrive in Crow Wing County

Crow Wing County has seen a significant increase in H1N1 flu vaccine in the last week, according to Dr. Peter Henry, St. Joseph's Emergency Room Director. He says the illness has peaked. However, new cases are still being reported.

Dr. Henry tells KLKS News, it is still important to get the vaccine, even if you have already been ill. He says there are a number of colds and other viruses making the rounds, that may not be H1N1. And, he says the illness could have a second peak.

Recent vaccine clinics have been for children 6 months to 9 years of age, adolescents with chronic health problems, pregnant women and caregivers for children under the age of 6 years.

Dr. Henry expects adequate supplies of vaccine for the rest of the population in several weeks.
