Friday Deadline for Turkey Lottery

(AP) The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources continues to encourage young people to get involved in the outdoor sports. Hunters 17 and under no longer need to apply for turkey hunting permit through the lottery. They can purchase a spring turkey permit for any permit area directly through a license agent.

For all other hunters, Friday is the deadline to apply for one of 57 thousand permits to hunt a five or seven day season in one of 77 permit areas this spring.
