Koering Has another District 12 Opponent

Brainerd Native Taylor Stevenson says he will announce his candidacy for the State Senate District 12 seat Friday.

Stevenson began exploring a run to be the DFL candidate for the Brainerd area State Senate seat last August. He says. "The stakes are simply too high to not put forth a fresh vision for Central Minnesota."

Referring to the 1971 Minnesota Miracle, Stevenson says incumbent State Senator Paul Koering and his Republican opponent Paul Gazelka, have worked to stall progress and undo policies that for decades helped Central Minnesota families.

Senator Koering says he will run for reelection.
