Democrats Trying to Limit Governor's Power

(AP) Plans are under-way by the Democrats to limit the Governor's power to cut the budget without legislative consent. Republican Governor, Tim Pawlenty, used that authority to trim the budget and erase a $2.7 billion deficit. Pawlenty is currently appealing a lower court ruling that said he'd exceeded his authority when he balanced the budget on his own.
