Silver Tsunami Approaches

The President of Aging Services of Minnesota says we are about to get hit with a "Silver Tsunami." Gayle Kvenvold tells KLKS News, over the next 25 years, the number of those over 65 will double, and the number of those over 85 will triple.

Kvenvold tells KLKS News they want the legislature to provide an incentive to encourage those approaching their senior years to get long-term insurance.

Kvenvold says the next Governor needs to establish a cabinet position that focuses on aging. She says there needs to be investment in service options, how we do business and there needs to be more efficiencies in the system.
