Klobuchar Says Asian Carp Must Be Stopped

Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar says a large share of the Minnesota economy is at stake if Asian carp aren't kept out of Minnesota lakes. She tells KLKS News, she and other lawmakers are pushing the Army Corps of Engineers to build more locks and dams to stop Asian carp from getting into the great lakes.

The Minnesota DFL-er claims 55% of the biomass in our rivers are carp, including Asian carp.

Klobuchar says researchers are working on pellets and flakes to kill carp.

She says foreign tourism is down 20%, and each spend $4 thousand on average.
