Cass County Recount Reveals No Change

(AP)  The recount is complete, and the next Sheriff of Cass County will be Chief Deputy Tom Burch. 

The recount revealed that Burch defeated Walker Police Chief Wayne Tennis by 47 votes, the same vote total from election night.

There was another recount in the race for Mayor of Pine River.  As in the contest for Cass County Sheriff, there was no change in the vote total.  Incumbent Jim Sabas held on to his post with  128 votes to 121 for challenger Elmay Tulenchik.
