Green Acres Moves Forward

Changes to the so-called Green Acres program continue to move through the Minnesota legislature.

State Representative Mike LeMieur of Little Falls says changes made in 2008 should be removed.  He wants to protect farmers from rising property taxes due to nearby development. 

Instead, the Republican lawmaker says the land should be taxed on its potential agricultural use.
