LeMieur Backs Billion Dollar Cut

State Representative Mike LeMieur is please the state house has passed a $1 billion budget cutting measure. 

The Little Falls Republican says it is obvious the state is out of money, and needs to respond to a projected $6.2 billion revenue shortfall.

The Republican controlled house has been criticized for submitting a budget cutting plan before the Governor has had a chance to offer his budget recommendations.

DFL State Representative John Ward of Brainerd says the Republican sponsored cuts would result in higher college tuition and would effect veterans, small businesses, working families and seniors
