Ice Heave on Lake Shore

A number of lake shore owners in the Brainerd Lakes Area have experienced some unexpected landscaping this winter.

Heather Baird, Shoreland Habitat Specialist for the DNR tells KLKS News, there has been a lot of "ice-push" this winter.

Baird says property owners should think about leaving the shoreline mound in place.  She says it is natures berm, and filters-out pollutants before they can enter the lake.
