Sen. Carlson Does Not Support Right To Work Amendment

State Senator John Carlson of Bemidji has been targeted by the AFL-CIO in an effort to stop the so-called Right-to-Work legislation, which would allow workers who benefit from union benefits to opt-out of paying union dues.

There is an effort to place this legislation on the November ballot as a constitutional amendment.

The Republican Senator tells KLKS News, he does not know why he is being singled out, because he does not favor placing the question on the ballot.  He says maybe the lobbyists were too lazy to ask him his position on issue.

Senator Carlson says those in a union shop should pay their fair share.
