Cass County Man Dead After Logging Accident

WALKER, Minn. (AP) — A 50-year-old Benedict man is dead after an apparent logging accident in Cass County.
Sheriff Tom Burch says Wednesday that authorities got a call about a logging accident Tuesday afternoon in Pike Bay Township. They arrived to find the man had been hit by a large tree that fell from a logging boom.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His name hasn't been released.
