Plane Crash on No. Long Lake

The pilot walked away from the second float plane accident in 30 days in the Brainerd Lakes.

Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl says the accident happened on North Long Lake about 1 p.m.Sunday.  Apparently the pilot was coming in for a landing when the craft nosed into the water and flipped over.  The pilot was able to swim away from the disabled plane.  The family was able to pull the craft to shore.

A 55-year-old Crosslake man died when his float plane drashed while taking off from Upper Whitefish Lake July 22nd.
